Join paleoclimatologist Dr. Jonathan Tyler (University of Adelaide) and artists Dominique and Samuel Chen (Walking Story) for a night of conversation around the mutually valuable intersections between art and science.
The evening will commence with a presentation by Dr. Tyler and other relevant researchers, who are currently working on wetland sites around the island to establish a history of ecological change both prior to and following European settlement; and the area’s drought variability—in terms of frequency and intensity, over extended periods of time.
Dominique and Samuel Chen will then discuss their current art project on the island working in collaboration with Dr. Tyler, followed by an open opportunity for discussion and exchange.
Stakeholders within the island’s science and art communities will be invited to attend, along with any interested members of the general public.
This is a free event. A light supper will be provided and drinks will available to purchase at the bar.
